Observations from the archive

  • About me

As a child, I bought my first camera for one dollar, five bubble gum wrappers, and a self-addressed stamped envelope. (This was before one-click shopping.) The toy lens snapped onto a film cartridge and the prints were picked up from the local Fotomat. That analog process taught me patience and a deep appreciation of the moment.

  • About process

I’m not interested in getting "the shot," but rather in connecting with people and places. Photography is my introduction to the world.

I keep my process stubbornly simple. I prefer a film camera, one lens, and zero posing. My editing is just as minimal--just the honest development of what I saw.

In short, I shoot what moves me and then share that with you.

  • About framed photos

Updates in technology have opened up print sharing way beyond drug-store snapshots. Today I partner with the award-winning German lab WhiteWall. I select gallery-quality surfaces and frames that best express my intent. They are professionally packaged and securely shipped worldwide to you for hassle-free ordering.

  • About limited editions

I offer format-specific limited editions. Exclusivity is defined by the unique combination of substrate and framing.

I reserve the right to release the image in other distinct formats, including books or paper prints, provided they do not replicate the editioned format you have purchased.

This preserves the uniqueness of the limited-edition framed photo art you acquire.
