"A Reminder to Look Up"

I'm not sure what made me look up. I don't recall now whether I was lost and glancing at the street sign, or merely bored waiting for the light to change. Either way, I was rewarded with the sight of a tiny figure perched on the sign's narrow edge — fashioned from bits of cork and wire, frozen in an extended-lunge yoga pose.

Who made it? Who put it there? Why? And what kept it from tumbling off that sliver of metal into the hundreds of cars passing below? I never found the answers, but I recorded the question. And the reminder to stretch and keep moving.

Berlin hides these moments everywhere — miniature acts of wit and defiance tucked into the infrastructure, visible only to those who bother to look up. This print is a love letter to that impulse.
