Clarity at a Distance
Seen from a distance, the rain-splattered image becomes almost clear. Yet the closer you get, the less clear it gets.
There's something honest about that. Rain doesn't obscure so much as it reinterprets — breaking surfaces into fragments, multiplying reflections, turning the familiar into something you have to look at twice. This photograph leans into that quality. What reads as a coherent scene from across the room dissolves into texture and abstraction up close, the droplets doing their quiet work of distortion.
It's a photograph about perception as much as weather. About how distance and proximity change what we think we see — and how a grey, wet day can hold just as much visual interest as a clear one, if you're willing to look.
