An Unexpected View

Photography exhibition space C/O Berlin was once housed in the grand old Royal Post Office on Oranienburger Straße — a building steeped in history and quiet grandeur. On a visit to the exhibitions, I slipped away to the washroom and found something I wasn't expecting: a window.

Not just any window — a generous, floor-to-ceiling opening of clear and frosted panes that looked directly onto the neighboring building's weathered facade. Light filtered through in layers, softening the geometry of the room, turning an ordinary moment into something worth stopping for.

This photograph is a reminder that beauty doesn't announce itself. Sometimes it's waiting in the places you least expect.
